What are Calories?

Calories are the units of energy contained in the food and drink we consume daily. Calories are either burned to produce energy or, if excess to requirements, then stored as fat.

Reduce Carbohydrates intake, Sugar Content

Sugar is a simple carbohydrate that belongs to a class of chemically-related sweet-flavored substances. It comes in many different forms. The three main types of sugar are sucrose, lactose, and fructose.

Even though our cells need sugar (glucose) to survive, consuming too much of it can cause numerous health problems. Added sugar contains no beneficial nutrients and, in excess, only contributes to tooth decay, diabetes, and obesity.

Go for fruit and vegetables!!

Eating more fruit and vegetables is essential both for good health and to help us lose weight. In contrast, get high in fibre, full stomach and less carbohydrate.

Most fruits and vegetables are low in calories and fat, and high in fibre – three ( 3 ) essential ingredients for successful weight loss. Most also contain plenty of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, all of which are important for helping us to look and feel our best and to protect us from disease.
